This notice explains how we handle information supplied for a ski-trip enquiry. An enquiry is not a booking. Additional traveller information and processing needed for a booking will be explained separately. This notice applies to trip enquiries and does not cover website account registration or payment processing.

1. Information received

We may receive your Meta profile name or account information, messages, and details you choose to provide: contact information, departure region, travel month and duration, numbers of adults and children, preferred resort, skiing or snowboarding preference, skill level, lesson needs and approximate budget. You may say “undecided” or omit information that is not necessary. The enquiry questionnaire does not ask for passport numbers, payment-card information, medical information or children’s names.

2. Uses

We use information to reply to your enquiry, suggest suitable resorts and itineraries, provide quotations, clarify your needs, follow up and handle privacy requests. If evaluating enquiry performance, we use non-identifying aggregate information. Any separate promotional use will be explained and the necessary consent obtained; you may decline or withdraw that marketing choice.

3. Access and sharing

Enquiries are followed up by ShangDao’s internal team, with access limited to staff who need to handle them. Initial enquiry details are not provided to hotels, instructors, drivers or external marketing agents. We do not sell enquiry information.

If you later request a booking that requires information to be provided to service providers, we will explain the recipients, data and purpose separately and obtain any required consent. Legally required disclosures are handled under applicable rules.

4. Platforms and cross-border handling

Meta also processes information submitted through its services under its own Privacy Policy. Our operator is based in China, and enquiries from overseas customers may be accessed and handled by our internal team in China. Meta’s processing and storage arrangements are described in its own policy. If we introduce other overseas recipients or external processing services, we will update the notice and implement applicable notification, consent and protection requirements.

5. Retention and protection

Enquiry records are retained only for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, necessary follow-up and applicable legal requirements. Records no longer needed for these purposes will be deleted or anonymised. Booking, payment and fulfilment records are subject to separately disclosed retention rules and applicable legal requirements.

We will apply access, staff and deletion controls appropriate to the risks, limiting unnecessary access, exports and copies. No system can guarantee absolute security. Meta-held records remain subject to Meta’s rules.

6. Choices and requests

You may stop an enquiry and, subject to applicable rules, request information about, access to, correction or deletion of ShangDao-held data, or withdraw consent-based processing. Without necessary information we may be unable to continue planning your trip. Requests will be verified and handled within applicable requirements; some legally required records may need to be retained.

7. Children and changes

Enquiry ads are directed to adults. A parent or guardian may give the number of children travelling without supplying children’s identity information in the questionnaire. Any additional processing needed for later services will be explained separately. Updates will show the version date on this page. Material changes will be communicated with any required consent.
